From leisurely waterfront promenades to challenging mountain hikes, the area surrounding Lake Achensee offers something for everyone.

This easy but lengthy hike circles the entirety of Lake Achensee and leads along sparkling lake shores, dense green forests, and expansive flowering meadows. Along the way there’s the opportunity to take a break in charming villages, visit interesting sights, and reenergise yourself with local specialties.
Short on time? Then we highly recommend the 12km-long stage from Pertisau to Achenkirch – which, despite its shortness, offers a varied landscape with tranquil bays and some seriously wonderful panoramas. A stopover at the rustic Gaisalm is always worth it.

Mountain tour up Mt Feilkopf

Do you want reach new heights? Then start your three-hour hike up Mt Feilkopf in Pertisau, on the north-eastern shore of Lake Achensee. Follow the secure and marked forest path to the panoramic summit in the Karwendel Mountains, where you have a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding valley. After, take a break and refresh yourself on Feilalm’s panoramic sun terrace.
