Unspoilt nature and boundless views

Adventurers big and small love hiking in Tyrol!

Where rugged peaks meet gentle valleys, you’ll find natural beauty that invites families to collect unforgettable memories.

In Tyrol, at the heart of the Austrian Alps, nature flourishes in all its majestic beauty. Here, where rugged mountain peaks meet gentle Alpine meadows, you and your kids can look forward not only to breathtaking natural scenery, but also to a rich range of opportunities to enjoy exhilarating adventures together. Shimmering mountain lakes that invite you to take a dip, charming villages where time seems to stand still, thick forests that are begging to be explored – what better place to escape from the hectic hustle and bustle of everyday life? Are you ready for your family holiday at the Böglerhof? Then prepare to be amazed by the myriad hiking options open to you here.

Tip 1: Family hike up Mt Reither Kogel
In the flower village of Reith, take the Reitherkogel lift up to the mountain station. Once you reach the top, walk towards the “Juppi Zauberwald” enchanted forest, a place full of exciting, nature-inspired games stations that will make your children’s eyes shine. Then, follow the signs for “Reither Kogel” along a picturesque trail that leads up to the summit. Along the way, you’ll pass through idyllic forests, breathe in fresh mountain air, and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

Tip 2: Mountain hut hike in Inneralpbach
Walk from the flower village of Inneralpbach to the Alpine Farmers’ museum. Behind the museum, follow the signs for “Galtenberg”, which will lead you upwards to the little “Alplkreuz” hunting lodge in the forest. From there, head downhill to Stettauer Alm/Hochleger hut and then continue to Niederleger hut. The trail then leads along the “Jagdsteig” hunters’ trail towards the entrance of the valley and back to your starting point. In the many rustic mountain huts along the way, you can immerse yourself in the history and tradition of our region and savour mouth-watering local specialities. Alternatively, enjoy a picnic in a meadow for a unique Alpine experience.
